Quello che segue è il mio personale resoconto, basato sulle mie personali informazioni raccolte dalla persona interessata.
Una donna transgender è stata seriamente ferita nella notte del 14 agosto a Tel Aviv, dopo che un uomo ha schizzato dell'acido sul suo viso.
Il suo occhio destro ha subito ustioni di terzo grade ed ha probabilmente causato la perdita totale della vista; anche l'occhio sinistro è stato seriamente ustionato ma, almeno apparentemente, ad un livello leggermente inferiore; I dottori sono convinti che la sua vista resterà danneggiata. La ragazza ha subito ustioni anche sul volto.

L'attacco si è verificato in Tel Baruch, un'area di Tel Aviv frequentata da"scambiste del sesso" transgender.
Secondo la vittima intorno alle 22.00 un "Pick Up" bianco si è fermato accanto a lei. Quando la ragazza si è avvicinata per parlare al conducente, l'uomo ha gettato una sorta di liquido sul suo viso. All'inizio lei non si è resa conto di cosa fosse, fino a quando - un paio di secondi dopo - ha realizzato che la sua gonna stava fumando e il suo viso e i suoi occhi bruciavano. L'autore del gesto si è dileguato subito dopo a gran velocità con la sua auto.

Questo è il più grave di una serie di aggressioni omofobiche e transfobiche avvenute in Israele negli ultimi mesi. Tutto essere nato sull'onda di tre persone pugnalate fra i partecipanti del Pride di Jerusalemme, lo scorso Marzo.

La settimana scorsa, a Gerusalemme, un omosessuale è stato selvaggiamente picchiato da un gruppo di ragazzi.

Sebbene in passato ci siano stati casi di violenza contro transgender "sex worker", si trattava per la maggior parte di fatti causati da clienti insoddisfatti e che terminavano senza conseguenze particolari.

Era da molto tempo non accadeva in Israele  un'aggressione transfobica premeditata e violenta.
Gli attivisti Transgender hanno richiesto alla polizia di rinforzare le pattuglie nell'area al fine di proteggere le prostitute che vi lavorano.

The following is my own report, based on my personal acquaintance with the person involved.
A transgendered woman was seriously injured on the night of August 14 in Tel Aviv, after a man splashed her face with acid. Her right eye sustained third degree burns and has probably lost sight totally; the left eye was seriously wounded too, but apparently to a lesser degree; still, doctors fear its sight will be impaired. She has burns in her face too.

The attack took place in Tel Baruch, a transgender sex trade area in Tel Aviv. According to the victim, around 10:00 PM a white pickup stopped next to her. When she leaned forward to talk with the driver, he splattered some sort of liquid on her face. She didn't notice at first what it was, until a couple of seconds later she realized her shirt was going up in smoke and she felt her face and eyes burning. The attacker managed to speed up and drive away.

This is the gravest of a string of homophobic and transphobic incidents that took place in Israel in the past few months. It comes in the wake of three stabbings of participants in the Jerusalem Pride March.

Last week, in Jerusalem, a gay man was savagely beaten by a group of teenagers.

Although in the past there have been cases of violence against transgender sex workers, these have been for the most part initiated by disgruntled customers and ended with no remarkable consequences.

It has been a long time since a premeditated, cold-blooded transphobic attack took place in Israel.
Transgender activists have demanded that the police reinforce its patrols in the area to protect the sex workers there.
